About the Brand: I started baking and selling cookies at 9 years old and loved it so much I decided to make it my life’s work and yes my last name really is "Baker"! It all began in 1994 when I rented the 4-H kitchen at the Whidbey Island Fairgrounds to bake my way to a better life. Inspired by my mom’s healthy baking and armed with a KitchenAid mixer, I created a revolutionary new way to serve breakfast the Breakfast Cookie was born! For the last 17 years, oats, fruit & honey have been the staple ingredients in my bakery, making us unique in our efforts to provide healthier food products. I take great pride in baking products with whole food ingredients which provide sustained energy and optimal nutrition. Over the years I have created many wonderful recipes to share with my loyal following. My Breakfast Cookies, Homestyle Granola, Breakfast Cookie Minis and Organic Brownie Bites are handcrafted and baked to order, promising homemade freshness and flavor. Simple, wholesome baking principles inspired me when I was a little girl. They still make perfect sense now that I am grown up! Bake with purpose, bake fresh to order, bake with healthy and wholesome ingredients. It’s that simple. Erin Baker, Founder.

5Limited edition flavor that deserves a try.....Jul 19, 2009
By Colleen M. Schneider
I have recently started buying Erin Baker's Breakfast cookies because they are a fast, easy and nutritious way for me to start my day. This flavor is not always available as it is a limited edition flavor, but fear not, these cookies do very well when frozen and can go directly from the freezer to the microwave for about 40 seconds, and you have a nice chewy delicious cookie.

This flavor is delicious-some of the major ingredients are whole grain rolled oats, raisins, dried apples, walnuts, coconut and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and carrot cake spices). The cookie comes in at 310 calories, 18% fiber, with 17g of sugar and 15% iron.

I was doubtful that a large cookie would sustain me, as lunch for me is about 5.5 hours away, but I have no problem, this cookie is filling and delicious. As with any fiber filled product, make sure you do drink fluids.

If you do buy these or any of the other Breakfast cookies, be assured that you can freeze and microwave, so on the limited edition flavors, you can buy extra if you really love a particular flavor.

3Not my favoriteAug 24, 2009
By R. Foster "rwf"
I bought these in Mid-July ('09) with 2 day delivery along with 4 other flavors. This is my least favorite. I still have the original bunch while I've finished the others and have re-ordered them. For some reason, there is an after-taste that I really don't like with this flavor. Wish I did like it. I will keep getting the others through Subscribe and Save as long as they are available. The others are great when I don't want to cook a full breakfast or lunch. I do freeze and microwave them, then drink a cup of milk with them. Very filling and satisfying. I recommend the other flavors I've tried but not this one. I've tried and like the Oatmeal and Raisin, the Banana Walnut, the Chocolate Chunk, and the Apple and Caramel flavors. YMMV

5Erin Baker Breakfast CookiesMar 02, 2010
By V. Lopez
So far, I have tried caramel apple, fruit & nut, morning glory, and banana walnut flavers. I have also ordered, (but not yet received) the pumpkin spice cookies. All of them are an excellent meal replacement or nutritious snack. The ingredients are wholesome, there is no high fructose corn syrup, and they have a good supply of protein & fiber to stave off hunger for several hours. The caramel apple is probably my favorite because it seems to be the moistest, but I really love all of the flavors. Like other reviewers, I freeze them, and then microwave a cookie for 20 seconds when I am ready to eat it. I find the cookies taste best warmed up. Even though the calorie count is higher than many cookies, I think you get a lot of nutritional "value" with these.

The cookies at first taste good but it follows up with an interesting after taste. It is also a little dry had to down a whole glass of milk but overall it wasn't too bad.

5Trail food extraordinaireJan 05, 2012
By Ed Raton
Erin Baker Breakfast Cookies are an excellent alternative to energy bars and other trail foods. They pack well and provide 300 nutritious calories and sustenance. They are not gourmet desert cookies, they have a lower ratio of sugar and fat, and more whole grain carbohydrates. They won't taste as good, but they will provide energy without a sugar spike, or clogging your arteries with saturated fats.

They're still pretty good tasting to me, and taste even better during an 8 mile hike.
