4Too Tiny!May 26, 2010
By Sun-shiner "Kasey F."
This pasta is fine in terms of taste, but the letters are so tiny that my son doesn't like them. He used to love the Trader Joe's alphabet pasta but they stopped making it. I bought this as a replacement. The letters, being so small, end up all over the place. I have to pick them out of the holes in the colander and out of the rug when he spills. This might be fun in a soup or a casserole but not as a pasta dish on it's own. I think I'll just use the rest of the uncooked noodles in a craft project. Perhaps we can sprinkle it like glitter on a greeting card.

2Not worth itMay 28, 2011

I bought it for my son when he learned his alphabet at around 1.5 years old. The letters are way too small & he didn't care for them. I bought better ones locally. Not worth the money. I'd give it less stars but since it's organic, it deserves an extra star.

4Hearty Pasta, Perfect for SoupsOct 27, 2011
By Mom of four little lambs
One of my children wanted "letter" soup, so I ordered a case of this pasta. It is a whole grain pasta, so it is heavier on the pallet than traditional pasta. We have only cooked one box and served it with a simple pasta sauce. We all ate it for lunch (5 of us) and had leftovers...it goes a long way. The flavor is a little off from some other pastas I have tried (but we are not whole grain pasta lovers at all, so take that into account). A good way to have a little fun and change to the lunch menu. And to note...they are very small, like letters in soup. However, none made it through my strainer (not a mesh one, just a "normal" stainless steel one). Good buy for the hearty factor in my opinion!

5Why is alphabet pasta so hard to find?Mar 21, 2011
By Totheworld
I didn't really want six boxes of alphabet pasta, but since no local store carried them, I didn't have a choice. I did not notice this pasta being smaller in size than others I have tried in the past

While I don't advocate letter drills during dinner, funnily enough, the pasta seems to be highly weighted toward the letter "O," which is great as that is one of the letters my child knows. The colors are also fun ("green O!" "Red O!")

A good basic pasta, the fact that it is veggie and organic is probably not a significant benefit, but why not?

2tiny, tiny, tinyNov 20, 2010

These taste fine, but they are tiny! I bought them hoping to use them as small finger food for my 10 month old son. What a waste! And, an ever bigger waste since you have to purchase a case at a time! These are about an eighth of an inch big (about the same size as large couscous).
