These are organic refried pinto beans in BPA-free cans. Probably some of the safest, healthiest food I'll be able to get my ten-year-old to eat until some kind of non-kid taste buds kick in for him. Bonus for me is that they are very affordable on Amazon's subscribe and save program. I take half a can, mix it with a little organic salsa, top it with organic cheese, and heat it through until the cheese melts. It's pretty tasty, and it makes a complete protein if you pair it with a side of rice.

We tried these because Eden Foods is the ONLY bpa-free canned goods company in the USA. We love them because they are absolutely DELICIOUS!!! All refried beans come out in a glob, they are afterall mushed up beans...lol...but the flavor is so much better than any other refried bean ever! You will enjoy these beans!!!

These are my favorite since I can prepare them as I like. I normally saute some onions. Then, over a low to medium flame, add the refried beans with some water and mix them up until they get softer. Then add a bit of olive oil and stir in some tomato sauce with some garlic and onion powder. Last but not least, I mix some cooked corn in and yum, yum. Sometimes instead of or in addition to the corn, I add some cooked vegetables or some cut up chicken or turkey - it makes for a hearty, very healthy meal!! Full of fiber.
It's also difficult to find canned beans that are BPA free but Eden has them!

I had to write a review after seeing others who complained about these beans. 1. they are BPA free- good luck finding that with other refried beans- to me that is more important than other things 2. yes it is lacking in the spices/salt department but I don't eat beans out of a can. I like to add sour cream or salsa and heat in a pan on the stove. If you are willing to ADD to the product, I think you will like it. It makes me sad to see low ratings because they don't like the "look" of it coming out of the can or because it lacks extra salt ect... All I know is that I will continue to buy this- hope this helped someone.
