By Denise Smith Delicous and extremely healthy! I eat them every day for lunch- I add them to a spinach wrap. They are soft and very tasty. They have a good amount of protein and fiber and are low in sodium.
Not a black bean substitute, but an interesting legume in its own rightApr 02, 2012
By the rob If you think you're getting low-carb black beans: look elsewhere. Actually, just stop looking, because they don't exist.
However, if you have an adventurous palette and are looking for a side dish to accompany Mexican food, or an extra stuffer for your next burrito, give this a shot. Add some fresh diced onion, garlic, cilantro, tomato or a green salsa and you've got a pretty tasty, high-protein addition to your meal. If I doctor these up right I find they don't remind me of black beans.
Also, my kids love them anyway we prepare them.
good stuff mate!May 06, 2010
By G. N. Raiano I got a box of these beans and had a huge mexican brunch at 10:30 last weekend while I was camping. These beans were very tasty in taco's with salsa, sour cream, cheddar, and garlic tabasco sauce. They really fill you up and are surprisingly high in protein because of the soy beans, packed with nutrients and all organic. What a bargain.
