5Vegan Organic Kosher ChoiceAug 28, 2008
By vegancompassion "anattanupassana"
Vegan. Organic. Kosher pareve. Fat free. Wonderful aroma. Small tender lentils in a flavorful vegan gravy. Fantastic choice with rice. Sweet onion and bay leaf flavor notes are mild and well-balanced for beautiful overall flavor. Bravo! Approx. 455 calories, 28g protein, 0g fat, and 715mg sodium per can. Made with organic lentils, organic tomato puree, organic shoyu(organic soybeans, organic whole wheat, sea salt), organic onion, organic garlic, and organic bay leaf. Also really like Eden Organic Baked Beans, Fat Free - Low Salt, 15-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12) also from Eden. This review is out there for those for whom this makes a difference. See all of my reviews for more great choices. Check out all these great choices also in the "Vegan Grocery" Listmania. Your "helpful" votes count and will be greatly appreciated to benefit the search of others. Thank you.

5Umame, at lastSep 14, 2009

When I first started trying to eat healthy, I loved Progresso canned lentil soup. When I started looking for organic alternatives, I found this.

Eden sometimes misses the mark on its prepared bean products, skewing more to the vegan-commune-TVP crowd than the typical western diet. But these lentils are rich and flavorful. You can dilute them to make a lentil soup (add some soy sauce or Braggs liquid aminos), or eat them as is.

Excellent with sharp cheddar cheese and whole grain bread.

5Eden Organic Lentils with Onion & Bay LeafFeb 17, 2010
By Minime "Sandy"
I like Eden organic products & these Lentils are just right, with great seasoning. We eat them heated up & also if I have some leftover wild/brown rice I will toss in a can of these Lentils & then sometimes put in some leftover chicken, put it all in a whole wheat wrap.Makes a good wholesome meal.

Not a low sodium food but not nearly as high as comparable foods on typical grocery shelves.it's tasty health food and the best of the canned lentils that I've tried (and I try everything I see.)Lentils are also a food mentioned in the book of Ezekiel; if I remember correctly. Good stuff!!!

5Health benefits, perfectly cooked, and delicousAug 11, 2011
By Sentia
I first bought Eden Organic Lentils from another online source. Now that my supply is almost out, I came to Amazon hoping to find it here. You can't go wrong with this product. The lentils are cooked to the perfect tenderness, and there is a bit of seasoning but it isn't overwhelming like in some products. I think it's delicious all by itself. Add some veggies if you want, serve as-is over rice or mix it with noodles, it's all good.

I recently read an article titled The 10 Best Foods for Healthy Hair. One of the foods listed is legumes, which of course includes lentils. And by the way, Amazon's price for this product is excellent, especially if you choose the subscription service.
