 Life Saver During the Huge Storm 2009-10Nov 27, 2010

So, As a former Chicagoan, living in WDC Metro area last year was quite the experience with the huge East Coast snow storm we were hit with...all the shelves were empty, and we had ice all over our walkways. What a total mess.
In such an emergency, I ordered a case of this snow melt off of Amazon.
It came quickly, considering the shipping issues faced by the major shippers. I distributed some of the ice melt to my neighbors, as well.
Works well, safe for pets, as we have dogs, and the price was right. We certainly were not going to find any product locally!
I would defnitely use again.

The ice melt worked quick and kept the ice from reappearing after it had melted. It doesn't seem like you need a lot for it to do a good job. I highly recommend, especially if you have pets.

We just had our first snow and we used these salts after shoveling. the remaining snow melted and kept our sidewalk clear. the salts dissolve so not to harm the dogs being walked to the park or their owners!

Beware of dogJan 21, 2011

I think this product is great and great for the price but after letting my dog and my boyfriends dogs out after putting this on our driveway, his 2 dogs came in grooming (licking) their feet. They had the runs for 3 days. While they didn't get sick other than that, it still make me cautious and I make sure I do not put any of on the driveway to the back yard. I like that it didn't irritate their paws, but 3 days of staying awake, was horrible. Just an FYI to those who have pets.
