I have tried many high end Jerkys and this is the best by far. Most Jerkys taste like tree bark, but not Divine Bovine; it is so tender it really melts in your mouth. The Honey Teriyaki is sweet, but that is the point. If you enjoy a smoked flavor jerky try Divine Bovine Original style Jerky. Yum!!

i don't usually review stuff but saw the one star rating due to the other reviewr and had to chime in. this jerky is truly divine, it's indeed quite sweet as far as jerky goes, but it's still not exactly dessert or anything. it is just far more flavorful than any other commercial jerky i've had, and also much more most/less hard to chew. the wild honey teriaki is equally good qual, tho too spicy for my tastes.

I first tasted Divine Bovine on a cruise ship. One of our table companions had a bag and offered everyone some. I was hooked immediately! The meat was tender, but thin unlike some really thick, almost raw jerky I've tried. I like the original flavor the best. It's got all of the flavor, but is not as sweet as the honey containing flavors. I sent two cases to the troops in Iraq. It was worth the cost.

So I picked up a pack of this stuff a year ago to eat on a 4 day hike I was doing. I bought it cause it had no nitrates, no preservatives, and seemed like a healthy choice. The first day up the mountain, I devoured the whole entire bag in fifteen minutes, and I think it saved me from getting mountain sickness. I fell in love with the product right then, and have been searching for it in the stores.
It is not hard jerky, but very tender cuts of beef, with some slight marbling, meaning you can see little chunks of fat. It is delicious and truly a gourmet jerky. Why the low ranking?
I purchased a pound from Amazon, and upon looking in one of the bags I noticed big hunks of white mold. Two bags were wrapped together and the Amazon personal didn't see the mold growing on the product. I would have been really upset if Amazon didn't return my money, but they did, and Amazon is always awesome about this stuff, even though the return policy is no returns on groceries, so be careful when ordering.
The other bag doesn't appear to have mold, but now I'm totally afraid to eat this stuff. If you find it in a store, I would say it's worth a shot if you can look in the bag and clearly see the contents, but it has this big monster sticker on the front of it, which makes it hard to look in. I'm sure they are improving their quality control, cause it would be a shame for this product to go off the shelves. Anyways, great delicious jerky, but buyer beware.

This is the stuff you are looking for if you are trying to find great jerky. Don't pass this offer up, it is well worth the money. Cured to perfection! Tasty, moist and tender. You can't go wrong. I want some more!
