Worst printer EVER!Mar 30, 2009
By P. J. Ferris Always having to troubleshoot through problems...a 2 minute print job turns into an hour. Ink cartridges do not last long at all. After the color ink that came with the printer ran out, I have never been able to get another color cartridge to work. Do not buy this printer!

GarbageAug 24, 2009
By KEVIN OBRIEN A Dell telephone salesman sold me the Dell V305 as an "all-in-one" printer. There is no help information in the owner's manual or in an on-screen guide. My old Dell A940 was much more helpful. The V305 cannot work faxes, and if in fact it can print envelopes, there are no instructions anyplace for it. The owner's manual is useless for info on faxing or envelope printing. Useless.

Buyer Beware: This will clean out your bank account!!!Aug 27, 2009

The only thing you are paying for is the Dell name. This printer is overpriced. I do like the convenience of it being wireless but that is it. I get error messages all the time, so I have to unplug it, restart my computer. So a two minute print job turns into two hours. USES INK!!!!! I replaced my cartridge yesterday and printed about 15 pages for my son and had to replace it today. DONT BUY. I am thinking of getting the Kodak ESP 7 with the ink saving offer. Right now I am stuck with this one till I can afford another

Not Sure Why Everyone Hates This Thing???Dec 30, 2009

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this printer that came with our Dell computer. Except for the amount of ink it appears to go through, we have used this for everything from pictures (printing and pulling from our memory card), scanning (turning into .jpg AND .pdf), envelopes (2 years of XMAS cards!), and tons of general print jobs (both color and bw). It is quieter than any other home printer we have owned and has been stable on our furniture as well. I was actually looking to buy one for my Mom when I saw all of this negative feedback. I don't get it - we've been very happy. Either the key is that we got ours directly from Dell or we should just count our blessings! The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it really does go through the ink. However, these things are programed to warn you waaaay in advance, so we don't change out the cartridges until the ink stops coming out during print jobs. Honestly, we have been seeing the warning on our current cartridge for 2 months now and we made it through XMAS card season; printing 87 envelopes. I'm still using that cartridge as I type this.

Uses way too much ink and spradically doesn't scanJan 02, 2010
By Mary Chrapliwy I wish I saw the reviews for this printer before we purchased it. We purchased this printer about a year ago to be compatible with our wireless network. It does one thing right - the print quality of your pages is exceptionally good. However, with that exceptionally good printing comes a huge negative - the printer is a high ink user - uses a massive amount of ink quickly. The print cartidges are not cheap, so you find yourself going through a lot of money - so not only does it drain your ink fast, it also drains your wallet. To top it off, the scanner part of this printer works on and off, so you can't rely on it to scan anything. Will be ditching this printer soon and upgrading to something that works in both scanning and printing without emptying my wallet.
