Tried this product to be a bit adventuresome. Saurida spp. is apparently a species of Lizardfish (a prehistoric fish) found in the Mediterranean. I expected heavily salted fish, but to the contrary this is lightly salted, and VERY hard to chew. There are a number of bones and scales on the pieces, but the packaging (triple shrink wrapped) is impressive. The product smells vaguely of fish food, but not overwhelming. I can see the savory/salty aspect as a nice accompaniment to beer, which I am told is the traditional way to eat this type of product.
I would say that if I were a dried fish enthusiast, the relatively mild flavor of this product is nice, and the packaging and quality seem quite good (apart from the multiple scales). If one is not a dried fish enthusiast, then good luck.
