This is thin rod shaped pasta. Very simple sauces suit this kind of pasta butter and cheese, or melted butter with cheese and sage. Other perfect matches are egg based sauces or fresh tomato based sauces. They are delicious in a light broth. In the Naples area they are also used for oven pies. Since 1886 we have liked our pasta to be bronze drawn and slowly dried because we like it to fall into the plate full of taste, rough and always "al dente". Even though our taste has not changed, as we feel the same love for tradition, we have continued to improve our production technologies. | | | Features: | |
• Pack of five, 16-ounces boxes(total of 80 ounces)
• Made with durum wheat
• Kosher certified
• Made in Italy

I eat DeCecco Capellini almost every day, but most supermarkets don't carry it even if they have other DeCecco products. I got tired of looking for it so I was delighted to find it on Amazon for a reasonable price with no shipping on Prime.

best pasta madeDec 23, 2011
By John W. Bodenburg I do not know why we can not get this pasta in our local stores, but when we found it on Amazon we purchased 18 boxes. The taste of this pasta is fantastic and the capellini is so thin is cooks quickly.

Great tasting pasta! The De Cecco Capellini is the best of thin pasta. It is my favorite of pasta's brands. This pasta type is hard to find and not sold everywhere.
