Good, but a little heavy on the cloves.Oct 08, 2011

I tried this and enjoyed the taste except for one thing: personally, I found it to taste quite strongly of cloves, with the clove flavor becoming overwhelming if I steeped the chai for an extended period of time.
Because I didn't want to waste almost a pound of chai, I picked through the chai I use each time I make a batch, and pick out the cloves. There are some crushed cloves, and other cloves that I missed, so there is still a clove taste in the finished chai. Removing the cloves by hand is a pain in the neck, and I won't buy this chai again. If you like cloves, this won't be a problem for you.

This chai has all the flavors that traditionally belong in a good chai, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, etc. Then there's the overpowering flavor of maple so strong that you could sweeten it and pour it over pancakes!
This stuff is foul and I'm very glad it was so inexpensive, although twelve bucks for a pound of garbage really isn't that inexpensive when you think about it.
Anyway... it's a sixteen ounce package of nasty and I wish I could get my money back on it. Lesson learned.

The maple is foul - so not chai tea. The green chai is the same. Love davidsons, but they missed on this one.
