The small German town I'm currently staying at has a few cafes, each one I've been banned from because of my brawling and defense of certain philosophical concepts.
I have to stay inside my room at the hostel but I needed some great German Coffee.

I'm just repeating the others, but it's true: this is decaf that tastes like real coffee. It's more rich than dark, and more sweet than the very dark-roasted coffees common around here (N. California). My take is that if you like Jacobs or Zoega, you will probably like this.

Decaf for serious coffee drinkersOct 06, 2011

I am a picky coffee drinker and although I know that at certain times of the day, I really, really need to switch from "real" coffee to decaffeinated, I couldn't find a decaf that tasted like coffee. As I was lying awake from caffeine overload, I recalled how much I loved Dahlmayr when I first tasted it in Munich. Maybe they would know how to do decaf coffee well! And they do--a full-bodied flavor, a real coffee aroma, and a good night's sleep--can't get better than that!. Wonderful product that I have shared with decaf-only friends--who are sure I am slipping them the real deal--it's that tasty!

This is the only coffee we buy. Dallmayr decaf tastes just as good as the regular coffee. Highly recommend. Buy it when it is available.

With relatives living in Germany, my wife and I spend a lot of time in Berlin. For a long time, we assumed the coffee we made there was better than at home (Denver) because of the water, having experimented with all the other variables. Then we found Dallmayr's and now we make the same good coffee in Denver as in Berlin. We use it pre-ground, but Dallmayrs, even the decaf (entcoffeiniert), is still better than any other coffee, pre-ground or freshly ground, we've found in the stores here.
