The Best Inexpensive Speakers You Can BuyNov 12, 2007
By L. Heaton
"a violet fluid"
I wasn't sure what to expect with these speakers. Based on reading other customer reviews, I chose this inexpensive set because they were supposedly the next-best-thing to a speaker with subwoofer set. That assertion was entirely true! I've never had a set of computer speakers that sounded this good, and I've always had two-speaker sets. My brother has a subwoofer set, and the sound quality on these is strikingly close to it if you don't consider the throbbing bass of subwoofer. I haven't tried blasting these at full volume though, and I doubt that could possibly sound as good as a subwoofer set, but if that isn't your intention, what difference does it make?
I can't believe how inexpensive they were because the sound quality is the best I've heard on little laptop speakers (excluding Bose, of course). The balance between the two is really what sold them for me - the sound here seems more balanced than the speakers on my Sony stereo (try listening to something in mono)! I highly recommend them to anyone who can't afford a subwoofer set, or anyone who would like more room on their desk.

Nice computer speakersMay 09, 2008
By Eileen T. These speakers are great. The sound quality is above average. For those of you who are wondering what the height and width of these speakers are (I didn't find this mentioned in any of the information before I purchased them), they are 8 1/2" high and 3 3/4" wide. The price is very reasonable too.

Great Speakers, Bad For HeadphonesMay 24, 2006
By physics buff These speakers have very good bass response and clarity. I had hoped to use my headphones with them, too, but there is a very loud electric humming sound through the headphone jack. A coworker bought these same speakers and I found the same thing happening with his, too. Just to be sure, I tested my headphones by plugging them directly into the computer. Indeed, they were working fine on their own. It is just a flaw in the headphone jack circuitry. But again, the speakers themselves sound great!

Know what you're gettingApr 10, 2010
By Dan'l I own a pair of the speakers shown here and like them a lot, so I wanted to get another pair. The product shown and described here has a little hole in the front top and back, which I presume to be the "bass reflex port." The item I received from Amazon was model CA-2022 (no R) and lacked these openings. Specs on the ones I received show 12W power max (not 24 as described here). The first pair I got didn't work, and Amazon replaced them promptly, but again with the CA-2022 (no R). I looked on the Cyber Acoustics website and could find no reference or picture of the speakers shown here--only of the ones I received. So I presume the CA-2022R have been discontinued and Amazon will update their description soon.
Listening to the two sets side by side, I notice only slight differences. The CA-2022Rs are a little louder and have a tad more bass, but the CA-2022s sound adequate at the volumes at which I'll be listening to them. Good enough that I won't bother trying to find better $25 speakers.

Not up to the Cyber Acoustics nameJul 02, 2010
By photo_artiste First let me state that for low priced computer speakers, under $100, Cyber Acoustics is the best out there and cannot be touched. Usually you get three to four times your money when you buy their products and I cannot say enough good things about them.
That said these are absolutely atrocious! I could write a long review justifying why but simply put these speakers, if you can call them that, are horrible but let's just say they have no quality at any end whatsoever. Don't bother with the EQ they just suck and are not worth looking at any further.
If you want a much better speaker that is comparable in size and price check-out these: CA-2014rb Amplified Computer Speaker System (Cyber Acoustics).
If you want to go a step up in price and get superior sound and volume check-out these: Cyber Acoustics 3 pc Subwoofer/Satellite System CA-3602
I own both and can recommend either in good conscience although I like the latter much better than any computer speakers I have ever owned.
BOTH ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM AMAZON
Whatever you do stay clear of these...they are pure junk!
