 Inulin fiber does have some side effectsMay 07, 2008

If you were to google inulin (the fiber used in this product), you will read that is can cause some side effects such as gas, bloating, cramps, abdominal pain and diarrhea. One packet contains 3 grams of inulin which is a lot. This product does not make any note of this. While I like the product, it does cause me abdominal pain and diarrhea. I believe this is because I am either not getting enough fiber in my diet or I am allergic to it. I am trying half a packet now to see if I still experience the same side effects. One bonus though is that it suppresses my appetite. It is tasty though.
I am waiting for the day when Crystal light switches to Splenda and uses little or not food coloring. The food coloring is unnecessary.

I really like this product, it gives me the fiber I want in my diet, tastes great, reminds me to drink more water, fills me up, keeps me from snacking, and dissolves completely in a water bottle after shaking it a couple of times. The only problem? Unlike the raspberry peach flavor, Mixed Berry stains my mouth and teeth noticeably red. Not something to drink at work, and I usually go brush my teeth after drinking it. If not for that, it would definitely get five stars.

The flavor just doesn't taste good to me, and I usually like Crystal Light products. Perhaps it is the inulin fiber used?? I prefer the K2O which has 5 grams of fiber AND 5 grams of protein which I use to keep me full and away from snacking. I tried this when my K2O subscribe & save order came back "not in stock" and I thought I might need a substitute. Sinc then K2O came back in stock and I've doubled up so I don't run out of it and I'm passing this to friends to see if they like it.

Love Crystal Light and my whole family loves this flavor. Amazon has been out for a while and cannot find it in the grocery store. But will not pay over eight dollars per box. This seller should be arrested for robbery. This high pricing should be against the law.

My wife picked some of this up for me. It's very tasty. The berry flavor is very good and kind of tastes like Kool-aide. I like it.
You put it into a 16.9 OZ container like just about every other drink mix. Why it's not a 20 OZ bottle, I have no idea. Anyway, it mixes very quickly and easily when you shake it so you don't get those clumps of solidified powder like you do with drink mixes like Hawaiian Punch. Nice.
It has some fiber in it, but I really don't notice much difference. I'd been using Benefiber Powder Fiber Supplement Stick Packs, Raspberry Iced Tea which I drank more because I LOVED the taste than for any dietary effects. I like those better, but these are still really good. I'm generally regular and am mostly just looking for a good tasting beverage, if it has the fiber and helps out that way all the better.
My only real complaint is that they went a little overboard with the coloring. It is VERY dark. If you spilled it on anything it's going to be a real pain to get it out. Just be really careful with that the lid of your bottle is securely on the bottle before you shake it.
