Clams, water and citric acidNov 27, 2009
By Michael G. Lustig These clams are packaged with no additional sodium. I like them but you have to add salt to suit your taste. The clams are small and some are a little bit sandy. All things considered, I like the clams. I use them primarily to make white clam sauce.
Recipe: 1 can clams drained 1/2 cup white wine 1 bottle clam juice spices: basil, oregano, thyme, red pepper flakes, white pepper, salt Romano cheese pasta of your choice

Just clams, no or very low salt, so you can use in pasta, soup, etc without raising the salt content of your dish. If your used to over salty products of this kind these clams might take a little getting used to, season and add salt to your own tastes. More companys should let the consumer add salt or sugar to a product after purchse.

No taste...Oct 10, 2010
By NYFB Majority of the cans are lined in plastic and leach Bisphenol-A which has been linked to cancer, birth defects, miscarriages, obesity, and insulin resistance, which can lead to Type II diabetes. Refer to the Environmental Working Group report on BPA for more information.
This costs 4.09 a pound and is from Asia. In comparison to fresh mussels for 2.64 a pound from Costco meat department and fresh clams for 3.49 a pound this product is waste of money since it is not tasty at all and comes in small smashed pieces... At Costco, the fresh shell fish is raised in Washington by Toronto Canada area and it is fresh, tastes great with all the nutritional values... I use the shells as calcium for my plants and the meat tastes great, the way a good shell fish should taste from cold Pacific waters...

Damaged cans but good productAug 16, 2010
By M. Eigen This is a good product. I don't have the B-12 info on it but am assuming B-12 must be present as clams have it. These are advertised high in iron and protein. I like it because there's no additives, salt, just the boiled clams for whatever use you make of them. However, of the 12 cans in this order, 4 arrived damaged - bent - and I'm not sure if that has a significant effect on safety or not.
