5Gold Cross penFeb 14, 2009
By D. Cortner
I had my last Cross pen for over twenty years. I had it for so long that it had my finger prints worn into the gold. I finally lost that pen at a doctors visit of all places. I had to get the same pen again because it worked so well and provided a certain amount of class as a business man to me.

210 karat looks betterSep 14, 2010
By A Customer "customer12345657"
I don't know anything about gold, so maybe this is typical, or maybe it is some kind of discoloration.

Whatever the cause, every time I see the 14 karat version of this pen in a store, it looks halfway like copper. You can see some difference on the Cross website, although their stock image actually looks better than the real thing.

Both the higher-content 18 karat pens AND the lower 10 karat models look more like gold. If you want a "gold" pen, I would save some money and get the cheaper 10 karat model. It's a little paler than the 18 karat, but it still looks like gold.

I received the Cross pen promptly, i.e. in time for Christmas. The pen was intact and undamaged.

1Did not receive the item. Had to ask for refund.Jun 24, 2009
By G. Kruczalak
I found a very attractive price for this pen and the company was stating they had it in stock. So I paid for the pen and waited for almost a month.
I bet the company realized they had a wrong (too low) price for the pen on their website, so they just waited until I lose patience and ask for a refund.
