DisappointedOct 29, 2007
By Citizen 314 The pen is cheap, the pen holder has already torn, and the paper tears off too easily. Save your money.

"iPhone Nut"
I had a previous one that was a flip top, and the pads were the normal 3x5 size. So I thought this one would be similar. I was wrong. It opens like a book (being left handed this is a minus) and the pads are smaller then 3x5, which I can see being hard to find replacements. The pen is a disappointment. The cap won't stay on the pen. I think Cross' ballpoint pens have declined in quality. Contemplating returning it. The one bright spot is the leather.
Craptastic PenMar 08, 2011
By Ross Schooler Bought one of these a few months ago to keep in the door pocket of my car. I REALY like the cover (nice leather and well reinforced) and the writing pads are of good quality paper but...the pen is awful! Yes, it's a Cross pen. Yes, it uses Cross refills. You'd think this would make for a good writing experience, right? WRONG! To wit: The pen is short so that it can fit in the alloted space on the edge of the pad holder. It's the type with the removable cap that is SUPPOSED to snap onto the end of the barrel when it's open. It really needs to do that because the pen is rather short and the cap adds to the overall length thereby making the pen usable to someone with medium/large/larger hands. The pen I originally received didn't snap onto the barrel when opened. "Hmmm, faulty product. Happens to the best of companies, right?" Considering my experiences with Cross pens over MANY years, I wasn't upset about one pen being faulty. I contacted A.T.Cross and arranged to send it back. (Yes, I sent a note describing the prob.) Did they send a new pen back? Yep! Promptly! Unfortunately, this one does/doesn't do the same exact thing. Without being able to attach to the end of the barrel when opened, the pen is unusable to me. Currently, I have a Zebra Expandable pen in the slot and will give the Cross pen to one of my female friends. Ergo, great Jotter, craptastic pen. NOT what I expected from A.T.Cross.

I had one of these and the company discontinued it. I liked it so much that when i lost it i was relieved to find a replacement here.
