Gauging from the picture on the kit, I was sort of expecting the beer to turn out like Corona but it ended up much darker and richer. Of course this isn't necessarily a bad thing, its just that I wouldn't necessarily describe it as a pale mexican cerveza. The closest mexican beer this comes to would be XX. I would still highly recommend the beer, very tasty.

I can only second the previous review, I was expecting a Corona style beer and found it to be richer and a little darker. This is good! I had intended to brew it as a light summer treat but didn't finish it until September. I'm happy I waited. Try it.

This beer kit was lacking. In every way. if you try it, remember it's only extract. you need more to make a good beer. I added 2 lbs. crushed malt and an extra 3 lbs. DME (light golden pilsen). Boiled the supplied yeast with malt extract for yeast nutrient,and finished it with WLP 007 Dry English Ale Yeast. it was pretty good. like a Negro Modelo with substantial malt and hop flavor and aroma!
