This is an excellant product:it's not your regular hot cocoa, it's best frothed. It's great added to coffee using an expresso machine to froth. The chocolate has superior taste and is high quality. It has chunks of chocolate as well as heavy powder so it must be made with very hot liquids and stirred hence frothing is best. I bought this as a Christmas gift for a family member (whose entire family fell in love) and one for myself. I have shared the product with other friends who also love this product, will purchase again.

It's called the nectar of the gods for a reason. At 65% sweetened Belguim dark chocolate nibs even cooked in 1% milk, this is pure heaven. One needs a small demitasse cup or an espresso cup to serve this concentrated delight. Although one serving is quite satisfying, being an American I wanted more, but decided to stick w/ the European serving due to caloric value. I could see this product becoming addictive during the winter months. It is worth every calorie and every penny. Treat yourself to this chocolate treasure.

From the description, I was expecting a much deeper, full bodied flavor. Yes, it had chocolate pieces in it, but it does not compare to other higher quality hot chocolates that I have tried like Le Dolphin or Angelina's.

Chocolat Vitale is incredibly sugary and has an odd floral perfume that must be the cognac flavoring but which came across tasting as if the chocolate had been scented with rosewater. This is nothing like the drinking chocolate I had while living in Italy for a year, so perhaps it's like drinking chocolate in some other part of Europe. I can't recommend it.
