Thin, newspaper likeFeb 01, 2011
By Dixie This paper is only for sketching for a young child. It is rather grey and a lot like newspaper. If all you need is something for pencil scribbles, then this is for you.

Great for scratch workSep 08, 2010
By Paul D Nelson I've used these pads for scratch work during the most recent two years of my PhD studies in mathematics and I would strongly recommend them to anyone whose work involves pen/pencil and paper calculations. They're small and sturdy enough to fit comfortably across on my lap while reclining and large enough to hold many more ideas than printer paper would, so that I'm much less afraid of running out of room. The paper itself feels nice to write on with either pencil or pen. Since they don't fit in a normal-sized bookbag, I keep a healthy stock of them at home and at my office; they fit in a larger hiking bag if I ever need to take them anywhere.
