Good Gravy!Nov 09, 2009
By Donnie Stevenson Realy enjoyed it as I live overseas and there is no Waffle house or Dennys to get a good biscuit and gravy. This works and is so easy to use. Heat and eat - my favorite type of 'cooking'!

Bad! Bad! ShippingJul 17, 2010
By David I bought this because I wanted to use it in my emergency food rotation and I have not found it in my local area. I am sure I could train a chimp to ship this product w/ more care. Out of the 24 cans, only 8 are usable. It appears to me, whoever shipped this product, dropped it, was to lazy to pick it up, kicked it to the spot where the shipping box was, picked it up and said hey Frank catch, Frank missed so he ran over it w/ a forklift, the janitor then picked it up and said, this should not be left on the floor and set it in the shipping box, but the janitor didn't know where to find shipping tape, so he put it on the delivery truck as is, completely opened. Wow that was a long poorly constructed sentance, only to say from now on I'll stick to local grocery stores.
Excellent Product.Apr 18, 2012

"Devastatingly Handsome Man"
Packed with sausage and creamy smooth gravy this product rivals the homemade variety any day. I found it to be a very consistent blend throughout and not one bit thin or overly thick as some others have noted. The chunks of sausage are quite large (and very tasty) considering this is a canned gravy. Best if enjoyed over biscuits right out of the oven. Though I can see this being good on just about anything people wanted to fix along with it. Chicken or fried eggs or the hundreds of other items I've seen gravy used for.
One small con is the lack of spice (a bit more pepper would be nice). Though that's an easy fix. But overall it's an excellent product that satisfied this gravy lover and the other members of his family. Thumbs up.
Update (04/22/12): Have now gone through 4 cans of the gravy and like it even more than I did originally. The consistency I find from can to can is in stark contrast to the claim of some the previous reviewers on this site. Am happy to report that I will be trying it over some fried chicken fritters (from Omaha Steaks) later today. I'll update after.
NastyAug 12, 2011
By Wile E. Coyote I bought some of this stuff at my local grocery store recently, hoping that I could save myself the trouble of making my own from scratch. Compared to the stuff I make, this was just nasty. For some reason, it tasted strongly of nutmeg (or at least of what I *hope* was nutmeg--God only knows what they put in this stuff.)
Anyway, you can make your own country gravy from scratch without too much difficulty and it's way better than this. I'd take a pass if I were you.
