Durable spongesFeb 04, 2010
By David Sternlight These (French) sponges are much more durable than those I had been using, which crumble and flake away after a little use. Although they are much thinner than the usual American pop-up sponges, that turns out not to be an issue in use. They are highly absorbent for cleaning up spills, as well as the usual wiping duties.

Like theseSep 26, 2010
By globalnomad I really like these. They come in this tiny and very minimal package and they pop when wet to become a big and pretty sponge. It's like magic! They are bigger than your regular sponges and they are just as effective. They last for quite a while too. I have been using mine for over a month and it still hasn't fallen apart (which is what happens with most sponges by this time).
The only problem is that they are pricey compared to similar products. At $1 a sponge you could argue that they are too expensive, but given the durability, I think I will buy them again, even though my package will last me at least a year it looks like.

pop-up sponge not quality itemAug 01, 2010
By una sorry, but the sponge does not hold up very well. i bought the 2 pack deal and that was 2 packs too many. they are thin and get very soggy and slimmy in the middle. within just 3 days use of one at the kitchen sink, i had to change the sponge. i used the sponge for dishes/glasses only. i would not buy this product again but will order again from William-Sonoma, who carries the original French pop-up sponge. it just doesn't pay to buy cheap!!
Great ProductJul 04, 2011
By Pam I almost didn't order these sponges due to some negative reviews but after having used the first one for a week, I'm so glad I got them. I've used pop up sponges from Williams-Sonoma, Sur La Table, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. These Caldrea sponges compare to the Williams-Sonoma and Sur La Table sponges. Although thinner, they are longer and have a great texture, are holding up beautifully. Don't hesitate to try these.
