Cafe Bustelo is excellent using a K-Cup insertJun 28, 2010
By Carl Royer I am one of those K-Cup snobs, who loves a hot cup of fresh coffee each and every time I get a cup. Sorry, brewing 10 cups that sit in the pot for an hour til I want another cup just doesn't cut it for me. But K-cups can get expensive (running $0.40 - $0.60 per cup depending on the type). Well, I picked up a packaged of Cafe Bustelo, and used the individual insert K-cup, and OMG! None of my prepacked K-cups come even close to the flavor and intensity of this coffee. It's bold but not bitter. A scoop is fine for making a single cup, and I am guessing I'm going to have about 40 cups per 10 oz package. Cuts my cost down into the $0.10 range per cup!
So if you are a K-cup user, try this brand of coffee. You will not be disappointed. BTW: I purchase this locally at Walmart for about $2.80 per 10oz package...

Good coffee...perhaps bad shipping?Mar 31, 2009
By C. Hoppe We owned a bed and breakfast for many years and the coffee we used daily was Cafe Bustelo. The flavor was rubust and not bitter...just good coffee that 95% of our guests thoroughly enjoyed. Recently, I ordered 8 packs from Amazon, and only 2 of the 8 arrived in their vacuum brick...the others seemed to have not been sealed well. This had never occurred before. The coffee in the sealed packs is the delicious flavor that is known, but the unsealed packs has given the coffee a bad flavor...who knows how long the vacuum was broken before arriving at our home. I will purchase this coffee again...but from the Cuban Market.

Café Bustelo is a great coffee choice. Be aware that the packing of this product is not very efficient. I had to place four of the coffee bags in ziplock bags because they arrived with mini tears on them that allowed air to get in and coffee to spill.

By beanhead This is a very good espresso blend at a bargain price. It does well in a pump espresso machine and since it is a little on the mild side it will probably do well in a drip machine at higher temperature. However it is a very popular brand so if you shop around you may find it in the small resealable metal cans for only pennies more at your local store.

Liquid CrackFeb 17, 2012
By lisabeachlivin If you like strong full bodied coffee then get this! This stuff is like rocket fuel. It tastes very good as well. I use it for making iced coffee and it does well for that purpose. I also use it for brewing hot coffee the traditional way and everyone in the house loves it.Cafe Bustelo Coffee Espresso, 10-Ounce Bricks (Pack of 4)
