Maybe long-lasting for a toy poodleApr 23, 2009
By Carmelita Deville OK. I have two labs. Dog 1 preference order: People, Ball, Food. Dog 2 preference order: Food, People, Ball. The bone lasted 1 hour with Dog 1 and 20 minutes with Dog 2. This treat is not going to satiate or occupy most large, hungry dogs for as long as some reviewers suggest. Bottom line: If your dog is a food hound this is an expensive treat that doesn't last long and looks very much like fake food. It also broke into wet, sloppy bits everywhere. P.S. Both dogs are midsize (50-60 lbs).
Great for active puppyFeb 05, 2012
By Cpassat88 This product comes in a nice package that is very handy for carrying it out while running with puppy outside.
My Dog Has Been Throwing Up All DayMar 13, 2011
By Laura Rogers My American Staffordshire Terrier ate one of these last night and has been throwing up all day, and is very sick. A few moments ago, he threw up the almost completely undigested outer roll of this bone. DO NOT give these to your dogs, I thought since they were not rawhide, they would be safe. However, it seems exceedingly hard for your dog to break these down internally. Dangerous product.
Love me some Busy Bones!!!!Dec 07, 2010
By Sqrl I had never heard of Busy Bones until Petsmart opened a store in my city. After the first time I used them, I was hooked: my dogs stayed quiet for almost an hour at a time... all of them, that is, except my Malamute. She's about 95 lbs, and finished the smaller bones all too quickly. After she was done, she would try to eat the other dog's bones! This caused quite a problem, and so my poor Malamute would be ushered outside after she was finished with her bone, so the other dogs could eat in peace. Finally, our Petsmart got these giant bones... it was love at first bite! Now the Malamute is finished at roughly the same time as the other dogs, so everyone can stay inside, and no one tries to steal anyone else's bone.
The reason I started buying them here is because of the outstanding price Amazon has compared to Petsmart! There's nothing bad against Petsmart, because they have to get their money, too, but I saved about two dollars a bone buying them on Amazon. Which, as you can imagine, makes me a very happy person.
Thank you, from Sierra, Baxter, Fred, Daisy, Benji, and me.
