Best one on the market in a can!May 19, 2009

Before trying this product, you should buy all the she-crab soups you can find and have your own little competition. This one beats them all! We like to garnish it with some fresh (or canned) crabmeat, as the retort process disintegrates crabmeat in a can. We also add a little extra nutmeg and sometimes sherry.
DisappointingFeb 08, 2008
By D. Paul Other reviews on Amazon indicated this is similar to the she-crab soup served in restaurants. It's not: at least not the restaurants I've had she-crab soup. It is simply crab soup in a can, and not very good crab soup at that.
I never heard of this company. butJun 26, 2007
By Elise Heinz Their She-Crab Soup is just about the best canned soup we've ever tasted! We made it with half-and-half and found it very rich indeed -- we don't think we would like it so much additionally enriched with cream -- might tend to overcome the crab flavor. Tastes like a crabfest smells.
We also bought but haven't yet tried their clam chowder but have very high hopes for it. Will post an opinion when I develop one.

almost at the Eastern ShoreDec 14, 2007
By Florida mamma grande This is a fine product at a good price. Now, it is not served in a breadbowl, while sitting in a shack, shoreside in a windbreaker....but, what a delight for a quick meal with truly a good taste. And, it requires no sherry or cream...only a can openner!

Little crab but fishyFeb 10, 2008

If there's crab in the can it is unknown to my spoon. There is fish stock, but to my palate (& I used to be a food reviewer for a San Francisco newspaper) it is, way too fishy, even after adding milk and stock. No potatoes either. A dissapointment.
