I've been eating this ever since I was a kid as well. When it would get hard, mom would just set a glass of warm water on top of the candy bar and that would soften them up. However, now I just put mine in the microwave for a few seconds and voila! Soft candy! Works great with hard bubblegum, donuts and other chewy candy too! Highly recommend!

Having purchased both the bars and bags, I highly recommend the bags. Although they have close to the same expiration, the bag candy is MUCH SOFTER. While the packaging may be less environmental friendly, almost all my bars had waxed paper stuck to the candy... pieces of waxed paper get all over. Storage for the bars may be more difficult in the warehouse. Highly recommend the auto shipment!

I was disappointed in the freshness of the product. I am a bit'o'honey lover from many years past and was glad to find them available on Amazon. Maybe the products could be dated for freshness and the candy would be softer like I remember from my past.

We ordered some for trick-or-treaters, but they're gone already! Four generations, from grandkids to great-grandparents liked them so well, we've had to re-order! You see Bit-O-Honey occasionally in convenience stores, repackaged; but they are seldom fresh. These were so fresh and chewy; and the aroma was that distinctive honey and almond essence! You've got to try these, if you liked Bit-O-Honey as a kid.
