Billington's Light Brown Muscovado Sugar is a soft, moist, fine grained sugar with a distinctive creamy fudge flavor. It is ideal for all your baking needs, especially cookies, cakes, candies, and sweet sauces. Why natural brown sugar? Many brown sugars are only brown on the outside--underneath they are really just refined white sugar. Not Billington's! Our natural sugars are simply produced in Mauritius with the aim of locking in and not refining out the natural molasses of the cane sugar. This is why our sugars contain so much more flavor and natural color. Product of Mauritius. | | | Features: | |

best light brown sugar I've ever tastedOct 11, 2007
By Michael K This sugar blows regular light brown sugar (made by mixing molasses and white sugar) right out of the water. Great in baking but even better on oatmeal and such.

The best brown sugar!Nov 24, 2008
By Bookie In the past, I ordered this sugar in the dark brown, but this time, the light. Even though I don't use sugar often, this sugar makes cookies and even oatmeal taste wonderful. Costs more than store brands, but, for me, is worth it.

Muscavado sugarDec 01, 2008
By LK This is my first time using muscavado sugar and I've been very impressed with the taste. I've used it to bake with and it gives things a much better flavor than regular sugar. I mix it with Sugar in the raw for a different flavor. It comes very hard, but it can be softened. I love this sugar and will continue to use it.

Delicious!Aug 04, 2008
By K. Goodwin This is the only brown sugar I'll use for baking now. I tried it on a whim and happened to make oatmeal cookies with it. It was the best batch of oatmeal cookies I'd ever made. The texture was perfect and the flavor had a nice buttery quality. I also use it to make wheat bread that even managed to impress my dad (a Wonder Bread fan). Worth the extra expense, in my opinion.

This is ITJul 10, 2008
By Red1Gem I've kicked the white sugar habit thanks to this great natural stuff. I use it with everything and the packaging keeps it fresh when you need it! Worth every penny.
UPDATE: The last bag opened 2 years after receiving is just as good as the first. We have a huge ant problem, and they've never found this sugar in it's original packaging - great job Billington!
