Muffin Betty Crocker Apple Streusel / B000EMOCEE
It's always so tricky to rate food items - is it five stars or four? I rate this muffin mix four stars not because there is anything wrong with it but because it's not one of my favorite foods ever. Yet you might easily find it a five star item - the muffins are very, very good and very easy to make and store.
These apple streusel muffins are quite tasty. The muffins are soft and slightly spicy; the streusel included is very generous and you can use as much or as little as you please when sprinkling the topping. The muffins store well in the fridge - I eat two every morning before work and the end-of-the-week muffins are still fresh and tasty after reheating. I do wish that there were more 'apple bits' in the mix - the apple taste is subtle, almost too subtle for my taste.
This mix makes 12 regular sized muffins, and there is enough mix to ensure the muffins are nice and big and puffy. The mix requests the addition of milk, oil, and eggs.

i always bake for others and i love this mix to make small individual 'coffee cakes' .. great taste and perfect texture .. everyone loves them and asks 'where did you get these .. ?'
sometimes i add apple pie filling on top, before baking .. then put the streusel over the top .. the apple pie filling sinks into the middle of each little 'coffee cake' and everyone loveees them ..
try it .. great to keep on hand for last minute yummmmmmy desserts ..

Stwusel is more added segar than I prefer, so much of it was unused
