Didn't taste as good as other Hamburger HelpersMar 08, 2007

I didn't care for this flavor of Hamburger Helper. Must of been the way they tried to imitate the 'Italian' flavor. It just had a weird flavor about it. I wouldn't buy this kind again

Great Italian Sausage flavor! Love the fennel!Sep 30, 2011
By CincyGirl We used hamburger to make this dish, and Italian sausage would have been much better, especially fried up with onions and green peppers...but that aside, the pasta was delicious, the spices were on the tame side but the fennel was definitely there to make it pop--all in all, we loved this Hamburger Helper. My kids are pretty picky, too. It isn't spicy, so if you are looking for spicy, you'll need to add some red pepper flakes. Great!!

Best H.H. flavor there is!Nov 29, 2007
By Karin D. This is the only Hamburger Helper that my family can't get enough of! I have NEVER been a fan of Hamburger Helper, but when I tasted this, I felt confident to try some of the other flavors. Turns out this is the best one! I don't think it has an off taste, but I add extra Italian Seasoning to it. It's hard to find in my area, which sucks, because it's such a quick, tasty meal! Try it!

Good Italian Sausage Flavor without the Italian SausageAug 18, 2009

The flavor of Italian sausage comes through in this product, but it is not overpowering as some Italian sausage can be. The fennel flavor is mild like it should be (in my opinion) and my only addition to this would be adding a little more red pepper to kick it up a notch. Some can't handle spicy, so I guess I will just have to 'doctor' it up myself. It is good for a quick meal (about 20 minutes from start to finish if hamburger is not frozen). Add a salad and some garlic bread and you have a complete meal.
