Extremely disappointingJul 17, 2007

I have to agree with previous reviewer Mr. Martinez. I am not a particularly picky eater, and enjoy my packaged foods as much as the next guy, but this stroganoff was a gooey, sludgy mess. The disgusting "real beef" was processed, pressed, and formed, and had the look, smell, and texture of dog food. I had to throw it out. Save your money! I
If you need to save time, you can use Betty Crocker's Hamburger Helper Stoganoff and add fajita strips instead of ground beef. You will have an infinitely tastier meal at pretty much the same price.

SatisfiedAug 22, 2006
By Gina Good product for the money. Our local supermarket
(Vons-a member of the Safeway Family) charges approx
$5.00/box for same size. There are 2 of us in the
household and one box will not feed a family of four.
Product arrived in great shape and no shipping damage.

StroganoffJan 08, 2007
By donald martinez The worst product I have ever had in my life. Made accordingly to directions & it turned into a gooy paste you could use for wallpaper paste. Down the garbage disposal it went. Do not purchare, you will be very dissapointed.

If You Expect More From A Box, Don't Buy A BoxFeb 13, 2009

Geesh, I see it's dog food. Well, tell me the dog food brand and I'll buy it. It's sludge? Go out and pay thirty bucks at a nice restaurant. I mean, what do you want from a box, your own hands and a quick trip to the kitchen? This is really pretty darn good for a low-cost quickie from a box.
Let's put this into perspective, eh?
Yeah, I've had better food. I've eaten in some pretty fabulous restaurants and lived in France for awhile. I appreciate fine food, believe me. And yes, "real" Stroganoff" isn't made of ground beef anyway.
But if I'm opening a box (and a can) and making something quick to fill my Senior-Single tummy, this ain't bad stuff at all. If you fix it wrong, read the instructions next time. This really isn't easy to screw up. It has decent flavor and goes down well. So what more do you want?
I eat too much; so it'll make two nice, filling meals for me. Three for normal folks. Maybe four if kids are involved; but how many kids actually like Stroganoff? I really think more than that need another box.

Instant meal barely worth the time taken to cook . . .Oct 03, 2007

This meal at most "fills the belly" or maybe "keeps body and soul together". The pasta and can of meat, mushrooms, and sauce *can't* compare to a meal of meat, mushrooms, and other materials thrown together by even an average cook. This product is fit mostly for those days when you're alone in the house and want something easy to kill the latest hunger pangs. Even then, you might be better off substituting rice for the pasta
