Not In My Spaghetti Sauce...Feb 06, 2010
By Mustang Sally

First let me say that I am in charge of conducting a canned tomato taste test for my cooking group.
My brother, not knowing I was versed on tomatoes and which regions and types were the best, called and started explaining San Marzano Italian Tomatoes to me. I rolled my eyes but let him go on. Anyway, he said you have to order these Bella Terra tomatoes. This brand was not one of the 14 brands that I had already tested so I ordered right away.
My brother called back to say "don't order those tomatoes, they are terrible." Too late, I had already received and taste tested them and came to the same conclusion. I boxed up the other 5 cans in the case and took them to the food shelter along with some other foods and suggested that they add them one can at a time to large batches. The good news is that I could add one more brand to the list of tomatoes that I tested.

Good Product, but...May 24, 2010

These canned tomatoes are quite good, but I was not too pleased with the dented cans I received. They were packaged in such a way where you could not see the dents on the cans. Had I taken them out of the box as soon as they were delivered, I probably would have returned them. I am a stickler about dented cans, as it can be very dangerous to you being exposed to food borne disease, which is deadly. Since the dents were more on the sides then the seams, I used them and I'm still here to write this review. However, I may not be so inclined to order them again.

Good tomatoesJan 02, 2011
By Richard A. Chapman I bought these for a deep dish Chicago style pizza and they didn't disappoint me at all. I thought they were quite good. The aroma when the can is opened is wonderful. My wife even commented on the smell, how good it was. The leftover sauce was used for a marinara sauce and after simmering for a few hours was also very good. The pizza turned out great and I'd recommend these to anyone.

San Marzano REGION tomatoes.Jun 26, 2011
By K. Harper Not as the name of the product says, but it's San Marzano region tomatoes. I purchased them thinking that they changed the product as the picture show... The cans were slightly dented, and if someone wants to know, there is no white lining in these cans. Tomatoes are not firm as Eden's and crumble down easily, which some may find it easier to cook in stews, sauces, and soups.

Deceptive Title! NOT San Marzano tomatoes!!Oct 29, 2009
By D. Figueroa Do not buy these if you're expecting San Marzano tomatoes. Nowhere on the can does it state that they are the San Marzano variety, nor do they look or taste like SM's. I don't know which moron in sales decided to put that in the title, but it's wrong. Bella Terra DOES sell SM's, but these are not it. Not worth the price!!!
