If you want to cook with mussels and not go through the shelling process this is the one for you. The mussels are very tastey and easy to use. I use them for my seafood salad or pasta.

NEVER in my life have i had a food with more dirt, sand, shell pieces and other unrecognizable inedible garbage in it than this. found out about the massive grit with the first can of the case and then decided it was OUR fault for not straining and washing them. so, we opened ALL of the rest of the cans and strained the juice through fine cloth and then washed, individually by hand, all of the mussels. massive amount of garbage resulted. juice had a layer of fine sand/silt at the bottom of it but we were able to pour the settled top off and use it. not so for the mussels. tried to use them as food but the garbage was throughout them. EXPENSIVE CAT FOOD.
