While I actually prefer fresh peppers to cook with, this works great as a substitute. Be careful when adding though. A little goes a long way. A sprinkle or two in soup is delicious.
I bought the pack of 6 so that I could send some to a friend in Iraq. This should help make Army chow a little bit more palatable.

Use too much of this, and your snorter will change the look of your face! I like habanero in this form because I don't care for the vinegary type aroma found in many hot sauces. I take this with me to restaurants, when I go, because almost all carry Tabasco, which has the vinegar aroma. And this'll heat things up a LOT more. Another plus is this stuff will keep almost indefinitely, and unrefrigerated, but should be in kept in a dark place to retard the loss of it's fire. And here beats heath food store prices by a bunch.

I purchased this product to use in making my own hot sauce. The powder is VERY hot, and mixes easily. I'm extremely happy with the hot sauce I made. When I run out of powder (which will take a while as its very potent and 6 is a lot of jars) I will purchase this again. Highly recommended.

I was really disappointed in this product. With all the warnings and precautions on the packaging, I was expecting a hot pepper that would light me on fire..BBQ Potato chips are almost as hot as this product. Really fine flavor but, where is the heat?

this is an absurd price for a product that can be found locally for 1/4 the price; i hate that amazon allows sellers to take advantage of buyers looking for niche products - this is BAD brand marketing, amazon - are you listening?
