By SP The texture of the flour is unusual, kinda sandy and it doesnt cake together like regular flour(even whole grain spelt flour) when you measure it out. I think this is what makes it great for homemade graham crackers.

By Louis C. Horter This flour makes a very good bread. I do not eat wheat, so I have to find other flours to bake with, and this is a very tasty bread. I like it better than spelt flour, and it rises better. I use a bread machine to make it. I do add a little tapioca starch in the water for the ingredients. This helps it to rise without having to add any kind of gum (ie. guar gum).

I use Kamut flour with other flours to make what my friends and even strangers say is the best bread they have tasted. Kamut 'holds' my other flours together and helps to keep the bread from crumbling to much. It has a creamy flavour and unlike whole wheat is a lot easier to digest.

Great replacement for refine white flourNov 02, 2009
By D. Borchert I love useing kamut flour. We use it for all our baking and for pizza dough! It is much healthier then refined white flour. Just use in place of all purpose flour in all your recipes. You may have to use more baking powder and less water. I have always been pleased with Arrowhead products. I also use their organic spelt flour.

By Laura I used this with my bread machine to make 100% whole wheat bread and didn't have a problem. I can't really say I noticed a distinct flavor as opposed to using regular whole wheat flour. It was however nice to buy this product and support with my purchase the cultivation of an ancient strain of wheat (and a bit more diversity in crops grown today).
