5Great productMar 26, 2010
By R. Lewis
I'm not sure what the other reviewers expected when they ordered an unsweeted bottle of tea, but the taste is exactly what you'd get if you brewed a cup of tea at home. Use a bit of sweetener (sugar or substitute) if you don't care for unsweetened tea, but don't bash the product because it doesn't taste like Pepsi!

Anteadote is a very convenient way to get tea into my daily routine. I always keep a few bottles at work in case I forget to drink a bit in the morning! I've never ordered from Amazon before, but I will now that they offer free shipping with Amazon Prime. I've purchased other products from Adagio, including loose leaf tea and their teapot, and I've always been very, very satisfied.

Love Anteadote!

5Fantastic Tea!May 29, 2010
By David Dawes
The wife and I have become addicted to this tea. As one of the only unsweetened bottled tea products, it is far healthier than those loaded with artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup. As for the taste, it is incredibly clean and refreshing. We've made our own white tea as home using organic white tea leaves and bottled water, but it pales in comparison. Watch the price on this item as it changes frequently and often drops below $15 (less with a subscription).

1ugh....Jul 27, 2011
By mary twain "20 something"
I'm sorry, I like adagio's loose leaf teas, but this...this is just horrid. It tastes like poison, to me. I make my own tea all the time and it tastes nothing like this. They added baking soda, I believe, to it to cut the acidity (bitter taste) that is usally done in tea with a tad of sugar - I'm guessing that is what is wrong here...at least for me.

And don't read this and imagine that I must always sweeten my homemade teas and thus don't know what unsweetened tea tastes like - I usually don't use any sweetener at all. I just am aware that in making tea, as well as in cooking, sugar is used to counteract acidity. In cooking baking soda is used for this same purpose; so, I was just guessing about the ingredients purposes, here.

I also tried the jasmine bottled adagio. It is much more pleasent but still not quite right.

1Gives crap a bad nameDec 27, 2009
By Jason B. Smith
As the previous reviewer notes this stuff is vile. Amazon wouldn't post my prior attempt at a review since (I assume) it was too bad - it was all true, mind you, but apparently you can't describe something so revolting and nasty as revolting and nasty. Unlike the previous reviewer I have 10 CASES of this stuff taking up room in my kitchen. You'll coil back in disgust when you crack it open and then gag with every mouthful. Though it turns out that after four cases you start to lose the nastiness tastebud and it's at least drinkable. On the plus side, the plain black isn't bad. Strong, but not bad.

1Organic White Tea tasting like CRAP!Jan 21, 2010
By C. Moore "tropic_traveler"
Okay, background first, 45 year old white guy that drinks too much Coca-Cola and wants to cut back. I like tejava (a lot). I drink green and black teas, etc. So I am not a new-be to tea. So I bought this tea, the Anteadote Organic White Tea thinking it would be a convenient alternative to reaching in the fridge and grabbing a Coke. Man! Was I wrong. This stiff taste nasty! I mean, nasty with a capital "N". It's so nasty that I am not sure what to do with the remaining 14.5 bottles! That's correct, 14.5 bottles.... I could not even finish the only bottle I tried! Ugh! So, if someone writes and says "I love the taste of this tea and that other reviewer is smoking crack".... well... I hope you think twice. Fair warning has been served.
