5Great Vegetarian SoupMay 22, 2009
By J. E. Davis
I love kim chi, but I can't eat most Kim Chi soups as they have fish/seafood stock in them and I am allergic. I was very happy to find this product as it is vegetarian, thus safe for me. It also only has soy in the form of soy sauce. That is another big plus. I like to prepare it topped with a poached egg that I mix through the soup.

Since amazon doesn't have all the ingredients for this, here they are )from the Annie Chun site):

Ingredients

Noodles: wheat flour, water, tapioca starch, wheat gluten, lactic acid, salt.

Sauce: fresh chili pepper, Chinese cabbage extract, naturally brewed soy sauce (water, wheat, soybean, salt), rice wine, garlic, salt, mushroom extract, maltodextrin, water, roated sesame oil, fermented wheat protein, evaporated cane juice, spices, garlic*, distlled vinegar, yeast extract, onion*, cabbage*, sugar, corn oil, carrot, celery, natural flavors, cucumber extract, red wine.

Toppings: kimchi*, green onion*, carrot*, millet syrup, maltodextrin, shiitake mushroom*, sesame seed*, guar gum, seaweed*.

*Dehydrated

5It's unreal how good the Kimchi soup is!Apr 01, 2007
By Tara Shuler "Author"
I've tried several of the Annie Chun flavors, and I liked most of them, but the Kimchi soup is just unbelievably delicious! This is the BEST packaged soup product of any kind that I have ever tried, and I usually dislike canned or packaged soup products. This is even better than my favorite canned Brunswick Stew that I have loved for so long!

It is moderately spicy, but if you don't mind a bit if spice, this one is just too good to pass up. I could practically live off of this stuff!

Thank you, Annie Chun, for making a packaged meal worth eating!

5Annie Chun's Kim Chi SoupMar 24, 2008
By Food Addict
From several Annie Chun's soups I've tried Udon Soup is my favorite, and the only one I have re-purchased. The texture of the thick noodles and flavor of the soup are great, that's why it gets five stars. Kim Chi Soup is good, love the noodles, but it's too hot for my taste (even for my husband's, who loves spicy food). I didn't like Teriyaki at all, and Miso was so-so. Tom Yum was spicier than you would usually get in a Thai restaurant, and not nearly as flavorful (duh!), so I would give that one three stars maybe for the convenience.

3Just OKApr 28, 2010
By Christine Park
Being Korean, I thought I'd try these kimchi bowls in lieu of the traditional ramen's that are loaded w/ preservatives and MSG. These bowls were just OK. They taste more like gochujang (red hot chili paste) more than kimchi, though. It was pretty spicy for me... couldn't finish the broth, but others I shared w/ were fine w/ the spice level.

I may buy these again only as back-up if there's nothing to eat, not b/c it's something that's delicious.

4Dinner in 5 minutesSep 29, 2006
By A. Huang
This is very yummy! I've gone through the entire box in about 2 weeks. The way I make it is very different from the instructions because I like to cook it on the stove top & add lots of veggies/egg.
