Even my kids LOVE this!Dec 01, 2007
By R. Murphy This is soup is so awesome. My two children, who don't "like" onions, love this stuff. It does have a good oniony flavor, but in a great, healthy, healing way. I've tried duplicating this in my kitchen, and it's of no use. This just hits the spot, right on, everytime.

Yum!Jan 31, 2009
By Jess B I stopped eating chicken a few years ago, but every once in a while I would make an exception for homemade chicken soup. At first I liked this as much as homemade chicken soup(!), now I like it even better! No more dead poultry for me!

Fantastic alternative for veg(etari)ans, oniony flavorJun 09, 2010
By James Watson Yes, it's on the salty side (most soups are), and yes, it's quite oniony.
One thing I've always missed from my pre-veg days is chicken noodle soup. This soup overall isn't exactly like the real thing (no chicken broth taste, after all), but the fake chicken chunks are so realistic in taste and texture that the first time I tried it, I had to check the ingredients to make sure it wasn't actually chicken. The noodles are the texture I would expect, just like in a can of condensed chicken noodle soup. The broth is more oniony than I would prefer, but I assume it's made that way to make up for the lack of chicken broth... and I would rather have an oniony broth than one that was too watery or too spicy/herby.
This soup immediately became one of my favorites. I mix crumbled Ritz crackers into it and, despite being a slow eater, I always end up scarfing it down in five minutes and wishing it wasn't gone already. So I'm really surprised that a few people here say it's so disgusting they had to spit it out. I'm not sure why that would be the case... unless they really hate onions, or they have a very low tolerance for vegetarian knockoff products.
So basically I think this is a fantastic soup and I'm really grateful that there's a product that fills the void of the nostalgic Campbell's chicken noodle soup from my early days. But if you're not a vegetarian or you hate onions or you don't like salty stuff, you might want to buy a single can in a local health food store to try this out before you commit to a whole case of it.

Yummy!May 14, 2011
By J. Graves I was a vegetarian for more than a decade. That's when I discovered this gem. I love it. I decided to go back to eating meat about 2 years ago, but a lot of chicken stuff still grosses me out. When ever I am sick or craving some comfort food, I like to indulge in this product. Other reviewers don't like the strong flavor of onions, but I sure do. I like to sprinkle some red chile flakes on top for added kick.
I caught a super bargain today, 12 cans for less than a buck each! It's about 3 dollars a can at my grocery store. It sure pays to scour Amazon for the deals of the day.

This soup is great. Of course its more expensive because it is non gmo and organic. The chicken-like bits are just like the real chicken noodle soup style. Its a great soup, kids will love it too if they already like this style of soup!
