This is the best vanilla extract I've ever used. It's thick and fragrant and has a real presence in a recipe. I make one full batch of Toll House cookie dough every Friday to keep in the fridge and bake as needed throughout the week. This two-pack of vanilla lasts me about six months for that and occasional other desserts. If you're like us and tend to eat a lot of cookie dough before it's baked, then I would recommend sticking with the one teaspoon of extract called for in the Toll House recipe. I used to double that, but with the Adam's extract there's no need to. When you take the lid off of your cookie dough container the vanilla fragrance jumps right out at you. It's strong - in a good way! Having the bean in the bottle is wonderful too. I transfer the bean to the new bottle if I don't use it before the extract is gone. Compared to discount superstore cheapy vanillas, this may seem expensive. However, the quality is far superior and, in a class with other top-notch vanilla extracts, this is very reasonably priced. Over all, a great product. Go directly to their website for ordering if Amazon is out.
