I ordered this expecting that it would be plain lemon powder. I was mistaken. It is sweetened. I wish that this had been advertised more clearly in the product description. I was looking for "real" dehydrated lemon powder without any sweeteners (Dextrose?). If you are looking for a sweet lemon extract to make lemon drinks or in baking sweeter things, this would be fine for your purposes, but if you are looking for pure lemon powder similar to the "Real Lemon" brand, be forewarned. I ended up giving this away to friends who drink sweetened lemonade.

I consider this product one of my best shopping "finds"! I had been paying more money for very small bottles of alcohol-based lemon extract, for use in baking. Adams Lemon Extract Powder performs wonderfully without containing alcohol, so I no longer face the problem of evaporated remnants.
